Many people may be prompted by this to begin reducing their waste on a personal basis, moving away from plastic in particular, but did you know there are also crucial community-run programs that can significantly reduce our global garbage problem?

Repair cafes help make things last longer and go together with Library of Things, which decrease consumption. Here's why they are crucial to a sustainable future.

Everyone is invited to use the free community area to ask for assistance fixing something or to offer their time to assist with repairs. Clothing, furniture, electrical equipment, computers, bicycles, crockery, and toys are just a few of the goods that can be fixed.

Volunteers perform the repairs at repair cafés; as a result, they are not paid. They are typically not trained repair specialists but rather regular people who are willing to try fixing anything. They may very well have extensive experience, for instance, repairing their own household things at home. Sewing professionals may provide to fix clothing and fabrics.
